SESSION LINE-UP

  • The concept of equality can have different meanings to different audiences, and consequently, doesn’t always appear as a tangible, attainable goal for a business. As companies experiment with improved means to recruit and retain their employees, partners, and customers, and build ecosystems that reflect the genuine diversity of the world around them, questions of methodology and scale arise. Do single targeted efforts work better? What is the genuine cost of sustaining ongoing programs? How should a company invest in these efforts in a time of extraordinary backlash against what is commonly considered DEI? What is the relationship between these efforts and the backlash against them that we are experiencing? Join us for a critical panel discussion from businesses that have made these investments and can speak from experience about the opportunities they see towards creating equitable change.

Join us as we kick-off the Summit with a grounding lens in equitable work with our special guests:

Rachel Kimber, Full Circle Impact Solutions

    Marianna Marysheva, City of Livermore

    Minea Moore, Salesforce

Amy Rose, Three Little Birds Agency, Moderator

  • Let’s get to know each other right away to make the most of our time together!

  • In the nonprofit ecosystem, technology and implementation partners play a crucial role in driving positive change and delivering impactful solutions. However, traditional consulting models often fail to address the unique challenges faced by nonprofit organizations. This talk advocates for challenging conventional thinking and models, and adopting a more innovative and equitable approach to implementing solutions.

In this session, we delve into the specific requirements and complexities faced by nonprofits, including limited resources, stakeholder engagement, and the need for sustainable and scalable solutions. Through real-life examples and case studies, we will explore alternative approaches that challenge outdated methods and prioritize collaboration, inclusivity, adaptability, and co-creation. We will also highlight the importance of effective implementation partners who understand the nuances of the nonprofit space and can provide tailored solutions.

Participants should leave the session with meaningful insight to reimagine nonprofit technology partnerships and uncover strategies that empower organizations to own and drive their own solutions.

  • With generative AI shifting the web browsing landscape, and a cookie-less future creating new challenges in reaching new audiences, social good organizations are rethinking their acquisition and nurture strategies. The future of digital marketing success is reliant on first-party data collection, personalized experiences, and full-funnel strategies. This session given by Firefly Partners will cover how organizations can reach their audiences at each stage of the funnel with an integrated digital ecosystem - one that allows for unified and data-driven audience experiences across all touchpoints. We will also look at how Firefly has applied these strategies across different tech platforms to propel the vital work of social justice, education, and environmental nonprofits. Session attendees will come away with a better understanding of how social good causes can utilize technology platforms to enhance personalized donor journeys and engage with their audience in more meaningful ways.

  • Find a table topic and engage with your fellow attendees.

  • In the ever-evolving landscape of the modern workplace, the lines between professional and personal frequently blur, and it can feel like we are falling through the Multiverse as we context switch at the speed of light. Empathy and emotional intelligence (EQ) emerge as a next-level superpower we can unlock to navigate our realms of experience with Dr. Strange levels of finesse. Imagine a workplace where the ethos mirrors the camaraderie of ""The Avengers,"" each member bringing their unique emotional strengths to form a powerful, unbeatable team.

Our approach combines the individual strengths of each team member, thoughtfully navigating our own emotions and those of others, to realize the collective power within our organization. Participants will embark on an introspective journey to uncover their emotional superpower and foster cultures of support, understanding, and mutual respect. The framework advocates for celebrating emotional diversity, encourages leaders to embrace logic and human empathy, and interactively facilitates inclusivity through empathizing with the diverse personalities around us.

By the end of this journey, leaders will emerge as emotional superheroes, ready to navigate the complexities of the workplace with wisdom, kindness, and a touch of humor.

  • Professional services are falling short of supporting our nonprofit clients, but we are the key to real long-term change. The current tech-forward approach to providing great tools and systems is not producing sustainable outcomes for true digital transformation. Join Tim Lockie, Founder and CEO of The Human Stack, for an open conversation on how to differentiate your practice and begin to understand the missing ingredient for true transformation, human-centric services.

  • Has your business hit a growth ceiling?

Are there so many people involved that achieving clarity and progress feels way harder than it should?

Are the experiences you hope to deliver to your staff, customers, and even yourself different from what actually happens?

Are your brand and marketing growth programs scattershot and ineffective?

If your answer is “yes” to any of these, you need a Brand Leadership program! Join us for an exploration of the 3 fundamentals of intentionally leading your Brand for resilient and sustainable business transformation and growth through a radically participatory, humanity-centered framework.

Transform your Brand from an afterthought to rocket fuel for your business.

  • You know how frustrating it is to have a client who you just KNOW could be doing amazing things, but it’s just not quite getting there? What can be done to turn around that kind of engagement? The Build Tank helps Salesforce-powered organizations shift their technology cultures, creating robust platform teams to fill the internal ownership gap as well as helping optimize the customer-partner relationship. OpenTent delivers “Salesforce success as a service” through a value-based consulting subscription. Over the course of building their companies, Sam and Sam have developed strategies - and in fact shifted their entire business models - to ensure the partner-customer relationship becomes transformative. Through the lens of their recent collaboration on a Salesforce transformation for Facing History & Ourselves, Sam and Sam will share language and frameworks for how they craft extraordinary ongoing partnerships with their clients.

  • Let's face it: 2024 is already weird, and things are probably going to get even weirder. Global events and personal crises are going to loom large. They're going to impact our teams' mental health in and out of the workplace -- and they're going to disproportionately affect people from marginalized communities.

In this workshop, we'll discuss and practice some of the foundational habits leaders need in order to support our teams, equitably and sustainably, through whatever 2024 has to throw at us. From protecting your own mental health to preparing your team's ""work emergency kit"" to planning for challenging conversations, participants will leave this session with practical tools, resources, and communication strategies to help them lead their teams through stressful times.

  • In an ever-evolving nonprofit sector, technology service providers play a crucial role in driving organizational efficiency and impact. However, the leap from offering bespoke services to developing scalable products represents a significant pivot that promises both challenges and opportunities. This session will explore various strategic approaches a service-centric business model can utilize to implement product development, also offering insights into the lifecycle of product creation — from ideation to market launch.

Participants will engage with case studies of successful transitions/augmentations, dissecting the key factors that contribute to a smooth evolution and long-term sustainability. We will delve into the importance of understanding market needs, leveraging service expertise to inform product design, and maintaining quality and value-addition for nonprofit clients.

Moreover, this session will provide actionable steps for service companies ready to embark on this journey, including how to structure your team, allocate resources, and implement agile methodologies for product development. We will also discuss the potential risks and how to mitigate them, ensuring that your move to product offering enhances rather than competes with your established services.

Join us to discover how your service company can innovate and expand by building a product offering that complements your expertise, adds value to your nonprofit clients, and sets you apart in the technology services market.

  • We’re showcasing the incredible Livermore Valley Wine AVA by hosting our Summit Dinner at another local, woman-owned (and wine maker) winery! As soon as sessions wrap at 4:50, head on over to dinner (location is not walking distance - you will need transportation).

    Dinner will be 5:00-8:00 PM
